How many people fit in one carriage?
Each carriage is private and can accommodate up to 4 adults, or equivalent combinations such as 3 adults and 2 children, 2 adults and 4 children, or 1 adult and 5 children. Children under 12 count as half an adult for capacity purposes only. For safety reasons, children must be accompanied by at least one adult in each carriage.
Are the rides private?
Yes. All of our carriage rides are 100% private, just for you and your group.
Do your drivers provide guided commentary?
Yes. All rides are guided by licensed Central Park carriage drivers who share stories, history, and fun facts during the tour.
Are photo stops included?
Yes. Most tours include photo stops at scenic locations, and drivers are happy to help take pictures.
Where do the carriage rides start?
Our carriage rides depart from 180 W. 59th Street, near Central Park South, conveniently located close to major hotels and attractions. Custom departure locations may be available for private custom tours upon request. Exact pickup details are also provided after booking.
How long are the tours?
Our tours range from a 25-minute Highlights Ride to a 45-minute Classic Ride and a 60-minute Extended Park & City Tour. Custom ride durations are also available. We’re happy to create a personalized tour based on your schedule, interests, and preferences.
Can I book the same day?
Yes, same-day bookings are often available, subject to carriage availability and weather conditions.
What happens if it rains or snows?
Carriages are equipped for light weather conditions. In cases of severe weather, we’ll contact you to reschedule or assist with alternatives.
Are tips included in the price?
Gratuities are not included and are optional, but always appreciated if you enjoyed your ride.
